Milkwood gallery and shop sits between the busy shopping streets of Albany Road and Wellfield Road in Roath, a short walk from Ninian Road and Roath Park. Set in a sprawling converted dairy around a courtyard, Milkwood's shop houses a mix of contemporary and vintage design, reclaimed furniture waiting for a new lease of life, as well as newly renovated vintage pieces, homeware, stationary, books, toys and clothes.

Owned and run by Helen Gubb and Gail Howard, Milkwood was concieved in the Summer of 2009. Co founders of the madeinroath art festival, both Helen and Gail come from visual art backgrounds, as well as being experienced workshop facilitators, artists and makers.
The gallery and community venue are at the back of the building and play host to Milkwood's exhibition programme and regular flea market, as well as our workshops and community events.
A graduate in Fine Art, Helen has extensive experience in community arts development, teaching and training in the voluntary sector, as well as continuing with her own practice as a painter.
Gail has degrees in both Philosophy and Fine Art and has worked as a free lance artist and gallery educator since 1997.
'milkwood is the manifestation of our collective passions, a place to be both nurtured and enjoyed, providing a multi faceted resource for artists, art lovers and the wider community....'
